MicroCurrent

MicroCurrent technology has been around since the 1930’s when it was discovered that sending a mild electrical current into the muscle sped up of the healing of wounds and injuries. Later it would be used to treat patients with Bell’s Palsy, a paralysis of one side of the facial muscles. Dermatology and Esthetics use MicroCurrent to re-train and tone the facial muscles resulting in tighter skin, a visible lessening of lines and wrinkles, and the infusion of product directly into the nutritional dermal layer.

How Does MicroCurrent Work

As we age, our muscles become accustom to repetitive movements and tend to “hold” certain positions. A good example is the furrow lines many people get between their eyebrows. Additionally muscles that are hardly ever used can begin to atrophy and sag, for example the loss of muscle tone around the jaw line resulting in jowls or the sagging of the corners of the eyebrows.

During a MicroCurrent Facial four electrical probes are used to send sub-sensory electrical currents into the skin to lift, smooth, tighten, and tone these muscles by triggering the body’s natural production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), the substance that carries energy to the cells and improves cellular communication. This production of ATP accelerates cellular repair, builds collagen and elastin, and promotes the production of new, stronger, healthier cells.
